Applying takes no time at all. There are some restrictions. You must own your home, and the mortgage lien does not exceed 90% of the value. Another requirement is to be current on your property taxes and not had more than one late payment on your mortgage in the past year. Lastly, you cannot have been late paying property taxes in the past three years or declared bankruptcy is the last seven years. Be sure to look at all the requirements to ensure you quality to take advantage of this program.
